30-day Open Comment period for the FY 2026-2027 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP)

An inclusion of the Category 7 & Category 9 planning studies in the RGVMPO's FY 2026-2027 UPWP is available for public review and comment from February 13 - March 15.

The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is a two-year work plan, outlining the transportation planning activities to be conducted, along with the corresponding federal, local, and state funding sources. This plan covers the period from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2027, and serves as the guided document for both short-term and long-range regional transportation planning efforts.  

RGVMPO Staff will be hosting in-person public engagements at the following locations:

RGVMPO Transportation Policy Board (TPB) meeting: McAllen Convention Center: 700 Convention Center Blvd, McAllen, TX 78501

February 18, 2026 from 1:30 - 2:30 PM

RGVMPO Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting: 301 W Railroad St, Weslaco, TX 78596

March 5, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM
